TENSITY

Tensity ponders the relational dynamics of power and man in the contemporary world.

Central to Rofi’s narrative are human figures thematically presented in states of flux. Bold colours, bold textures, and even bolder strokes are his tools, to capture today’s tensions brought on by emerging political conflicts, a new war, a worsening climate crisis, the crippling global pandemic and the barrage of media. Rofi presents his figures bent, damaged and censored projecting the metaphorical tension between power and cause.

Working in resonance with his paintings are sculptures that further the artist’s impressions of man’s struggle with choice, freedom and responsibility.
