APAD Contemporary 2011

No takers
"Identity 1"was shown in AAF Brussels but not sold. It was my only piece being shown and although people were interested, they wanted to look at more of my work before they can be sure of buying it. But the good news is, Dayang's Art is encouraged by the interest and is keen to bring my work to 3 more exhibitions later this year in Berlin and Holland. Watch this space!

I'm taking part in the Affordable Art Fair Brussels!
Once again, Dayang's Art is going to represent me in The Affordable Art Fair. This time my paintings will be shown at Affordable Art Fair Brussels, taking place in Tour&Taxis from the 25th to the 28th of February 2011. Dayang's Art will feature "Identity 1".

One of my two paintings presented at The Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam was sold!
Thanks to Dayang Salim of Dayang's Art, I sold the painting above. It was bought by a lady who didn't take long to ponder and thought it would be the right piece for her home! I'm really happy, more so cos 70,000 people visited the fair. Apparentlymy work received alot of attention.

Identity 1 featured in Elegance magazine
Leading up to The Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam, Dayang Salim was featured in an article in the November issue of Elegance, a well-known women's magazine in Holland. My piece "Identity 1" was selected to accompany the article.

I'm taking part in the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam!
Two of my paintings will be exhibited at Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam, 28 – 31 October.
I will be represented by Dayang's Art. Paintings are in The Hague now. They'll be brought over to Amsterdam for setting up later this month. Too bad I won't be flying over, but hope to see some pictures of the set-up soon.

Time to bring in some young blood!
17 young artist commemorate joining APAD by holding an aptly named group exhibition: Expose[D] Action 2010. They range from those still in their second academic year to those who have recently graduated. The group consists of a good mix of artists specialising in different mediums, from photography to painting, sculpture to grafitti. Come to the opening and check them out!
