Profile:
I have more than fifteen years of experience in corporate, consumer and product branding design. Prior to joining FutureBrand in 2007, I was with Interbrand. I joined Interbrand in 1994 when Interbrand Singapore became the first brand consultancy in Singapore. I was a member of the pioneer team that helped Interbrand Singapore take off. and

I've worked hand in hand with brand consultants in Singapore and South East Asia for over a decade. This has allowed me to gain a good understanding of branding and how it complements visual communication and vice versa. I'm therefore able to incorporate this understanding in my design process, creating design solutions that not only carry aesthetic appeal, but also answer branding issues.

This balance between branding knowledge and design experience is also useful when managing a project. I manage projects by applying both aspects cohesively, making sure that all design implementation work fits the overall branding objective.

My strength is in identity design. Along with the creation of many identities for a wide spectrum of brands and corporations, I've also designed and produced many visual communication systems. I've worked closely with brand consultants and clients, from conception to documentation, in creating visual communication systems that fully and appropriately express brand ideas.

In my capacity as Design Director, I lead a design team and guide designers. Beyond that, I direct, develop and present creative work and counsel clients. The clients I've worked with were from the public as well as private sectors, both local and foreign.

I've also represented the design team regionally by working closely with colleagues and clients in Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines and Thailand. I’ve made essential presentations to, and liaised with, clients in these countries. I feel that I have a good understanding of the cultural nuances that exist in the South East Asian region.

Besides handling projects in Singapore and Asia, I briefly worked in Interbrand London in 1997 where I was involved in the design work for the Japan Korea 2002 FIFA World Cup logo. I've also had the opportunity to travel to Zurich, Mumbai and Cape Town to meet and work with clients as well as international colleagues.

My work with clients covers numerous industries and profiles both in the public and private sectors. The following are some of them:
